Vienna Rae-Looi
COALA & Zero Degree Project, Stanford Kozmetsky Global Collaboratory Collaborator/Co-founder
Bay/Asia
Vienna co-founded Zero Degree Project & Economic Space Agency (a seed-funded distributed ledger technology start-up) in the Valley. Back in Malaysia where she was from, she co-founded DurianAsean (a media station on Southeast Asia current affairs) & KillTheBill (an aware-winning human rights law organization that became part of a larger electoral reform movement, Bersih). She first got involved in the blockchain space in 2012 as part of her proposal to the movement--on elections without a corrupted election commission which enabled the Malaysian regime to stay in power for 60+ years (that is until May 2018).
She believes that climate change is an opportunity to make tech and economy, accessible, inclusive and radically collaborative. She organizes Women in Blockchain San Francisco, is grateful to be a part of COALA.global & dances as part of her meditation.
