My name is Guillaume but everyone calls me Gy (as in Gee), phonetically as you can see it's easier. I am half French, half Turkish. Since July 2021, I work at EthicHub. My main focus revolves around increasing EthicHub's visibility through cross-company partnerships and increase the number of Ethix holders. Ethix is the native token of EthicHub and it acts as a bridge between the capital provided by our lenders and the loans sent out to our farmers.
EthicHub is a DeFi protocol connecting unbanked smallholder farmers with yield farmers and lenders so that smallholder farmers are able to take out loans at lower interest rates than what is available to them locally. $Ethix acts as the guarantee to the capital provided by the lenders, it also takes away the risk associated when investing in smallholder farmers. Let me explain, in case of default, $Ethix which over-collateralises the lenders investment, is given to the lender. The ratio here is for every 1 DAI invested, 5 Ethix are put as collateral. So the lender would get 5X Ethix from his original investment if the farmer community were to default.
