Panel: The Great Onboarding: Inviting Women to Web3The "Great Resignation" started in the pandemic and has made an indelible mark on workplaces. Women were affected disproportionately by the loss of jobs and the closing of schools during the pandemic (as were communities of color and other underserved groups globally.) But people also began to think in a new way about work, to feel more empowered, and to exercise more choices.
At the same time, Web3 is blossoming, with abundant jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities. We also see the DAO movement testing new models of coordination, inventing new virtual workplaces, and evolving strategies for collaboration and accountability. It's a great time for people who want to work remotely, who want to try something new, who want to contribute to the future now.
We need more people working in Web3, and we need more diversity. This panel will talk about what Web3 has to offer, why diversity makes a difference, how we can open the way for new people to enter, and what's fun and surprising about "the future of work.”
